City Decoration, Installation of Flags and Messages of His Excellency the Amir al-Mu’minin (May Allah Protect Him) to Mark 24 Asad and the Fifth Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
To honor and commemorate the fifth anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the Cultural and Social Affairs Directorate of the Urban Governance Department of Herat Municipality, in cooperation with the private sector, decorated the city roads by installing flags and printing and displaying messages of His Excellency the Amir al-Mu’minin (May Allah Protect Him) and commemorative messages marking 24 Asad.
Al-Hajj Mawlawi Hamdullah Nomani, Mayor of Herat, referring to the bravery and sacrifices of the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate in achieving the country’s independence, instructed the Cultural and Social Affairs Directorate of the Urban Governance Department to make greater efforts and develop comprehensive plans for commemorating and honoring 24 Asad, the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, in cooperation with private-sector institutions.
Meanwhile, Mawlawi Abdul Ahad Khairkhwah, Head of the Urban Governance Department of Herat Municipality, says that, on the occasion of this historic day, a total of 120 square meters of messages and the name of His Excellency the Amir al-Mu’minin (May Allah Protect Him) have been installed on the pedestrian bridge in the Shahr-e-Naw area and on the perimeter walls of the municipality. In addition, 144 square meters of congratulatory messages for 24 Asad have been installed on prominent billboards across the city.
At the same time, 600 flag banners have been procured from the budget of Herat Municipality and installed on electricity poles along the city’s busiest roads. Colorful decorative lights have also been installed and the route of the Provincial Road, where the commemoration ceremony for the anniversary of the victory will be held, has been decorated and illuminated.
On the other hand, Haji Ghulam Hazrat Amini, Head of the Cultural and Social Affairs Directorate of the Urban Governance Department, says that the department, in cooperation with manufacturing and industrial companies (Super Cola, Pamir Cola, Zalal Muwaffaq, Western Zone Money Changers Complex, Biranj, and Afghan Faizi Paint), has washed and decorated the city squares, contributing to the beautification of the city.
Meanwhile, in the coming days, in coordination with Herat’s manufacturing and industrial companies, decorative arches and commemorative billboards will also be installed at a number of city squares and intersections.
