Herat Municipality Paints and Decorates Walls of Five-Star Hotel
HERAT The Cultural and Social Affairs Section of Herat Municipality’s Urban Governance Directorate has painted and decorated the Islamic Garden Intersection and the walls of the Five-Star Hotel in Herat as part of efforts to improve the appearance of the city’s roads and public spaces.
The initiative was carried out following a directive from the Office of the Governor of Herat Province. The walls were decorated with paintings depicting major development projects, including the Salma Dam, Pashdan Dam, Herat–Khaf Railway, TAPI Project and Herat Cement Project, along with messages from His Excellency the Amir al-Mu’minin (May Allah protect him).
During a visit to the site, Haji Mawlavi Hamdullah (Nu’mani), Mayor of Herat, stressed the importance of maintaining clean and attractive roads and public spaces. He instructed the municipality’s cleaning and greening teams to strengthen efforts to maintain parks, green spaces and public areas.
The Mayor also described the dissemination of messages from the Amir al-Mu’minin through various channels as an important means of supporting the implementation of the leadership’s directives and rulings.
Mawlavi Abdul Ahad Khairkhwah, Director of Urban Governance at Herat Municipality, said the project has improved the appearance of the busy area while highlighting major development projects and encouraging public optimism about their implementation.
Haji Mawlavi Ghulam Hazrat Amini, Head of Cultural and Social Affairs, said painting and decoration work has covered approximately 750 meters at the Islamic Garden Intersection and along the walls of the Five-Star Hotel.
He added that the municipality plans to paint and decorate additional walls at public facilities in the near future.
