Organization of the Internal Futsal Cup Tournament Among the Teams of the Directorates and Departments of the Fifteen Urban Districts of Herat Municipality.

Internal Futsal Tournament Held Among Herat Municipality Departments

Following the directive of the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs regarding the organization of sports activities in municipalities, and with the aim of supporting athletes, the Cultural and Social Affairs Department of Herat Municipality organized a futsal tournament among the three Directorates, the Departments of Cleaning and Greenery, Market Affairs Management, and the fifteen urban districts, with a total of eight participating teams.

The tournament was organized in coordination with the Herat Provincial Physical Education Directorate at the Mirwais Sadiq Sports Gymnasium. On the first day of the competition, the teams of the General Cleaning Management and Revenue Department A faced each other. The match ended with an 8–5 victory for the Herat Municipality Cleaning Management futsal team.

Haji Ghulam Hazrat Amini, Head of Cultural and Social Affairs of Herat Municipality, stated that Islam, by emphasizing abstinence from narcotics and intoxicating substances, encourages all segments of society, particularly young people, to engage in sports and maintain a healthy lifestyle. He added that following the conclusion of this round of competitions, the department plans to organize volleyball, running, and cycling competitions in coordination with the Physical Education Department in order to support and encourage athletes.

Meanwhile, based on the sports plan approved by the leadership of Herat Municipality, it is planned that upon completion of this tournament, a futsal cup will be organized among government departments, followed by competitions among the district municipalities and the municipality of Herat City.
