Inauguration and commencement of the Shahid Khalilullah Hosseini Road Asphalt Paving Project, along with the construction of its drainage canal, at a cost of more than 6 million Afghanis in District 5 of Herat Municipality.
The Shahid Khalilullah Hosseini Road Asphalt Paving Project, including the construction of its drainage canal, with a total length of 891 meters and a width of 12 meters, at a cost of 6,079,720 Afghanis funded by the development budget of the municipality, was officially inaugurated and work on the project commenced by Engineer Mohammad Ayoub Saif-ul-Jihad, Director of Technical and Professional Affairs of Herat Municipality, in the presence of Mawlawi Mohammad Nasim Shahidzada, Head of District 5, an inspector from the Monitoring and Evaluation Department, community elders, Guzar representatives, heads of development councils, and a number of residents of the respective area.
Meanwhile, a number of residents of District 5 of Herat City expressed their satisfaction with the commencement of the project, describing the activities and achievements of Herat Municipality in the field of urban development and expansion as valuable. They also called on citizens to provide full cooperation with the municipality in the implementation and maintenance of urban projects.
They added that upon completion of the project, their transportation difficulties, particularly during the winter season, would be reduced, providing them with greater convenience and improved access.
On the other hand, the representative of the project's contracting company assured that the project would be completed in accordance with the contract, to the required quality standards, and within the specified timeframe, after which it would be handed over for public use.
It is worth mentioning that the project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation within four calendar months by Bonyad-Saz Kohan Construction and Road Construction Company.
