Establishment and Equipping of Municipal School Committees at Baba Zangi Ata and Abdul Ali Shah Tokhi High Schools

Pursuant to Official Letter No. 336, dated 11/1/1448 AH, issued by the respected Directorate regarding the establishment of Municipal School Committees in schools and madrasas, the Department of Cultural and Social Affairs of the Urban Governance Directorate of Herat Municipality established Municipal School Committees at Baba Zangi Ata High School and Abdul Ali Shah Tokhi High School.

Mawlawi Abdul Ahad Khairkhwah, Head of the Urban Governance Directorate of Herat Municipality, stated that in coordination with the Herat Provincial Directorate of Education, the Department of Cultural and Social Affairs has continued the implementation of the Municipal School Committee program during the Fiscal Year 1405, establishing two Municipal School Committees at the above-mentioned public high schools.

Meanwhile, officials of the Herat Directorate of Education expressed their appreciation for the initiative taken by the Urban Governance Directorate of Herat Municipality in establishing and equipping Municipal School Committees in both modern and religious schools. They described the initiative as an effective step toward promoting and implementing the culture of responsible urban citizenship.

At the inauguration ceremony, Haji Mawlawi Ghulam Hazrat Amini, Head of the Department of Cultural and Social Affairs of the Urban Governance Directorate, stated that, in accordance with the directive of the Department of Cultural and Social Affairs of the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, these Municipal School Committees were established to strengthen and promote urban culture among students.

It is noteworthy that the newly established Municipal School Committees were provided with cleaning equipment and educational materials by Herat Municipality, including shovels with handles, brooms with handles, waste bins, notebooks, pens, and introductory books about the City of Herat, with the aim of encouraging students to embrace the culture of cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
