Herat Mayor and Accompanying Delegation Inspect the Progress of Development Projects in Various City Districts

As part of the ongoing monitoring of development projects across Herat’s 15 city districts, Herat Mayor Haji Mawlawi Hamdullah Nomani, accompanied by officials from the Mayor’s Office, the Municipality’s Monitoring and Evaluation Department, and relevant engineers, inspected several major development projects on Wednesday afternoon, 25 Sunbula 1405 (September 16, 2026), corresponding to 3 Rabi’ al-Thani 1448 AH.

The projects included the construction of an underpass near the Herat Regional Hospital’s medical and commercial complex, the ring road from Takht-e-Sefr to Ghiyasuddin Ghori University, and the construction of a bridge over the Qarun River.

During the inspection, the Mayor instructed the contractors to complete the projects in accordance with technical standards and within the निर्धारित timelines, emphasizing the need to prevent any delays in implementation.

The contractors also committed to accelerating construction work, particularly in preparation for the approaching winter season.
